Muse Challenge #43 Snowflakes

This is the pretty inspiration  card this week at the Muse Challenge.

I was instantly inspired to stamp and emboss in white onto purple cardstock.  That is exactly what I did!  I grabbed a bunch of pretty DeNami Snowflake stamps and stamped them in versamark and embossed in white.  I added rhinestones to the centers and used my finger to dab some white ink around the snowflakes.  PTI die and accent stamp and then the Merry Christmas stamped in Versafine Grey. Matted a few times with some cardstock to look like the original card.  SO simple, I love it when my idea turns out as planned.

Muse Challenge #7

Thanks to Laurie I've found a new Challenge to take part in today.
Muse- Card Making Club is unique. You use the photo for inspiration, leave some comments on other blogs, and vote for the ones you find inspiring. Fun!!

I had a hard time just using Laurie's card for inspiration, I wanted to recreate it!  I used the same kraft card base, and embossed some big hero arts flowers in white.  I used a martha stewart punch to create the peach colored strips, PTI die for the tag, PTI black satin ribbon, and DeNami Birthday Blessing Stamp.

Polka Dot Overload! Play Date Cafe Challenge #76

The Play Date Cafe Challenge colors this week scared me, until I found my favorite turtle and I felt right at home. This card came together quickly this morning, such a great way to start off a Friday!

I used a PTI stamp and die to create my focal point and stuck the DeNami Turtle in the center.  Embossing Folder, Ribbon, Stamp, Paper, and Turtle all have polka dots.... I just couldn't stop myself!!  I actually am in love with this color combo now, so glad I gave it a try.

Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #32

1.  Embossing
2.  Use any floral image from PTI
3.  Spring colors

Easy and fun challenge!  I loved Amy's card, it must have stuck in my mind more than I thought.... I honestly had this challenge written down from weeks ago, made the card yesterday and was surprised when I saw how similar my colors/theme were to Amy.   I used PTI Delightful Dalia stamped in Versamark and embossed with white powder.  Rhinestones in the centers, PTI die cut, DeNami Mom stamp, a pinch of glitter around the label.  Perfect card for my mom --- just because!!

Papertrey Make It Mondays & CR84FN Color Challenge

Andrea always makes gorgeous cards, but I was really taken by the one's she made for the CR84FN Color Challenge #15 this week. She has been crocheting the prettiest flowers.  I can't crochet, but I just happened to have this pretty teal flower that coordinated with the colors this week.  I embossed the polka dot background from PTI with Versamark and clear embossing powder.  I layered some DeNami buttons for the center of the flower and hand cut the leaves from some grosgrain ribbon that matched perfectly.
I used a strip of vellum for my PTI sentiment, thanks for the inspiration Papertrey Ink -- the new Make It Monday video's are so fun!

Fluorescent Birthday

I Loved the Tuesday Trigger Photo this week, and knew I wanted to try to participate.  Once I saw the colors for the Colour Q Challenge, I knew they were meant to go together.  My middle school neighbor girl comes over once a month for a birthday card for friends.  I made this card to add to my stash to be ready for her.

Papertrey Dot Spot was the perfect set to re-create the fun hanging garland in the Trigger photo.  I added some stickles to the center of each dot.  DeNami Lime Grosgrain Ribbon.  Papertrey Ink Fillable Frames #4 and Birthday saying from Birthday Bash sentiment set.  My PTI stamps have been neglected, so I plan to give them a little attention this week.

Oh, and a HUGE thanks to Paulina for teaching me how to lighten up my photo's using photoshop.  I still have a long way to go, but I feel like my photos are looking a bit brighter lately.

2 Sketches 4 You OTWC #28 Challenge

It's been a few weeks since I've participated in a 2 Sketches 4 You sketch - so I made it a priority to make time today.  I used Kazan's Sketch #63 with the colors from Off The Wall Craftiness #28.  Somehow the sweet little DeNami Turkey made it onto this card too... just can't get enough of him!   He fits perfectly inside of the Give Thanks Circle Stamp.  The Citrone glitter looks so cute on his feathery wings... love it!

OTWC Challenge #25

Off the Wall Craftiness Challenge #25.  Kim's Challenge was exactly the colors I was planning on using for these invitations.  My best friend requested Birthday Invitations similar to the birthday card I sent her daughter last year for her 2nd birthday.  London will be turning 3 on Halloween.  Grey - Light Pink - Hot Pink challenge colors.   Simple standard card -- with some glitter & bling for a fun little girl.  All supplies from PTI... including the charcoal paper that looks black in my picture.

2 Sketches 4 You #61 & Color Cue #8 Challenge

Two challenges -I flipped the sketch on the side from Kazan at 2 Sketches 4 You, and the Color Cue #8 Challenge from W Plus 9 Blog.
I wouldn't say I'm a fast stamper by any means, but fairly quick most of the time.  This card took me ALL Day from start to finish.  5 minutes here, 1 minute here, rediculous!  Maybe next time I should do 1 challenge at a time, I think I tried TOO hard on this one.  I love the sketch and color combo though.  I used PTI Polka Dot Background to create the yellow dot paper, I used Wplus9 stamps- Woodgrain Silhouettes & Additions for the flower & leaf image. Love the wrinkle ribbon look - so easy to tie a bow & add some fun texture.

Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #21 -Autumn

Autumn doesn't arrive in Vegas for awhile - so it was fun to make this card while enjoying the AC running in my house.  The 21st Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge is to make a fall themed card.  I found this autumn abundance vase on my desk when I was cleaning yesterday - already colored and ready to go.  This card is for my grandpa's birthday in November.  I feel like my masculine cards are always boring, so I tried to add a bit of texture with some DeNami Sand buttons.  I was temped to add rhinestones and ribbon!

Laura's Sketch for 2 Sketches 4 You

I haven't had much time to create lately - so I have a pile of newly neglected goodies to play with.  I wanted to use my new PTI sets - Embellishments & Birthday Bash Sentiments along with the new Mat Stack 4 Die Cut.  I used Laura's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You my my layout. I flipped the sketch to the side.   I found this fun ribbon lace border at a yard sale a few months ago, such a fun find... and I actually used it instead of collecting! Basic Grey Patterned Paper & PTI Cardstock & Ribbon. Card measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2.

Papertrey Paper Dolls & Get Sketchy #51

This card uses the Get Sketchy Sketch #51.  This card fell together in minutes since I had a great sketch & color idea too. Inspiration was from a card that Dawn made and is the challenge at the Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #17.  I didn't have anything from the July release, so I used something I bought and hadn't used yet.  The Color Couture Vol. 4-6 from a few months back.

2 Sketches 4 You #55 and Paper Dolls Challenge #11

I've missed participating in challenges this summer, so today I was able to make one card for two challenges. 2 Sketches for you - Laura's Sketch #55.  Paper Dolls Challenge #11  to make a card using a non-standard card size. This card is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 Square.  I really like this color combo, so I was excited when Papertrey made this Beautiful Blooms paper. Used some die cuts and felt. Easy, fun card, no stamping on this one!
We have had our puppy now for 2 weeks. This photo was taken on my daughters 6th birthday.  10 Week old puppy - we named her Abby.  We love her to pieces!!

Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #5 & CAS Sketch

Why not combine two great challenge into one card - right?  Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #5 was a color challenge. Hawaiian Shores, Berry Sorbet & Chocolate Brown.  The Clean and Simple Sketch FTL #91 was a super fun sketch. I somehow forgot to add the sentiment, but love how the embossed dots add texture anyway.   The DeNami Chocolate Brown Glitter Ribbon is so fabulous in person, too bad it doesn't look as great in this photo. I think this might be the 1st time I've inked up my new PTI Beautiful Blooms 2 set, I love it though! Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Embellish Color Challenge & CPS Sketch

Embellish Embossing Color Challenge.  FUN colors today. I coudn't wait to give it a try!  I even made two cards.  The top card is also for the Card Positioning System Sketch this week. I flipped it on the side though, so it looks a lot different.  I wanted to be able to use the crown.  The card is for my daughters teacher.... she calls herself the queen of the class, so I thought this would be perfect.
Blog hopping is costing me some money lately.  I came across some cute samples using this stamps set.  SO, I had to have it.  It is not normally something I would buy, but I love it!   I'd never even heard of Ippity Stamps, see... blogland is getting me in trouble!
We might have a name picked out for our puppy already.  I mentioned "Miley" and my husband & daughter love it.  My son hates it.... not a fan of Miley Cyrus.... aka Hannah Montana.  Maybe if I spell it MyLee or something different....

2 Sketches 4 You & Color Cue Challenge

One Card - Two Challenges. Colors are PTI Lemon Tart, Ocean Tides, Hibiscus Burst & White from the Color Cue Challenge. Layout is from Laura's Sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You. I've neglected my guide lines stamp set for awhile now, so I was excited to use it with these fun colors. Simple card, but I think it would be perfect to send to a friend. Hope your day is fabulous is perfect for just about anything!
I haven't posted in a week -where does the time go? I've been busy packing & getting ready to leave for 10 days. My husband, 2 kids, my parents, and myself will be flying to New Orleans Friday to go on a 7 day western caribbean cruise. SO FUN! I'll post some highlight pictures when we return.

Hello Dot Spot -Papertrey Ink

Pti hello

While blog hopping during the Papertrey Ink blog hop a few days ago, I fell in love with this card that Diane made. Melissa Phillips weekly photo challenge had an amazing photo with fun colors. I was so excited to give it a try. I decided to use my new Dot Spot stamps set, (I'm loving) along with the fillable frames set. I didn't buy the die, but figured out I could use my old Stampin Up ticket punch to trim the corners, it works perfect!! Once I have the rectangle the correct size, I just snipped the corners. I also trimmed the bottom corners of the card, might have gotten carried away there!

Lavendar Moon, Plum Pudding from PTI and Versamagic Persimmon chalk ink for the orange color. I also used a quickie glue pen to add a thin line of xtra fine DeNami glitter to accent the inside of the frame. PTI Plum satin ribbon.

Embellish Borders Color Challenge

I photographed this card, and then realized I didn't like the shadows. I lost the card in my house somewhere.... if I find it I will try to take a better photo.

Embellish Magazine Color Challenge with border punches this week look so fun. The colors are yellow, green, pink & peach. I thought the colors were perfect for a springy bunch of flowers.

I picked up these fabulous border & corner punches by Martha Stewart while I visited Stampers Corner on Saturday. They make such a pretty delicate border, LOVE it! I used the punch on some pretty pink PTI dot paper. This Zinnia stamp by Karen Lockhart fit perfectly in the square. Added some border stamping on the bottom of the card, Lemon PTI. Finished the card off by adding some PTI grosgrain ribbon. Colored in with my copics.

Papertrey Ink - February Blog Hop

Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop.... So excited to participate this month, since I forgot last month!
Bloghoplogo The challenge this month was to find inspiration from one of the PTI designers.... easy task! I am always referring back to Dawn's blog for her great color combo's and striking layouts. I somehow managed to "copy" this card more than just inspired. I did use different inks, and a different stamp set. I also added the polka dots next to the saying at the bottom, otherwise it is just like Dawn's. Didn't want to mess up her awesome card! I have tried for 1/2 hour to add a picture of Dawn's card, but I can't figure it out, technical problems. SO Sorry! This is my 1st time using the new PTI Dot Spot set, loving it so far. I added the Thank You saying from Giga Guide Lines, and the same Denami polka dot border I used yesterday. DeNami & PTI buttons. PTI twine, raspberry fizz, berry sorbet, chamomile & lavender moon ink. Spellbinders dies made it super fast & easy... cut and then stamp, love those clear stamps!!!
