OTWC #46 & Get Sketchy #75



This card uses the colors from Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #46 and layout from Get Sketchy #75.  Day two of sick kids and sick mom at my house. With a pounding head I've felt unproductive and HAD to make something cheerful and bright today.  I was happy to see the colors for OTWC were perfect, and Get Sketchy had an easy sketch to work with.  I even whipped out my sewing machine for this one.  I need to leave it out so I use it more often.  Do I need to back stitch on paper?  It's not like it's going to get washed or anything.  Just curious as to what the "right" thing to do with paper is.  This quite possibly be the 1st time I've used a doily on a card too.... amazing, I know!  I used the pretty DeNami Decorative Crest Circle for my focal point, and blinged it up with some pretty rhinestones and a saying from PTI.  Hope you all have a great weekend, it's a 3 day weekend for the kids.  We are off to Palm Springs in the morning, as long as we can are all semi-healthy.

    You need to use doilies more often! I love how you've layered the crest image on the center of the doily! I'm so glad the OTWC colors cheered you up! Hope you are feeling better!

    Ok, I'm not a doily fan, BUT I think you've done a great job incorporating into a CAS card with a modern feel. So glad you played along with OTWC.
