Wee Memories Challenge: Color Inspiration

Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge:  "Color Inspiration" ... your favorite colors, pictures, anything that is your color inspiration
We would also like to welcome Nerina to the Design Team for the month of April.

This week we are sponsored by Nikki Sivils.   Prize: Paper Pack and Buttons
I was provided the It's Your Day Collection to create with.

Today is also a blog hop day for us.... so you should be arriving from Vera's Blog.  If not, you can start from the beginning at Jenny's blog.
My sweet nephew turned 1 in December, so I thought these pictures would be perfect to use with the Birthday Papers and accessories.  I used stickers, cutouts, patterned paper, journaling cards, SO many fun elements to include, I tried not to use them all!!  The only thing that isn't from Niki Sivils is the blue cardstock I used as a base, the yellow scalloped layer behind the journaling, and the twine is from The Twinery.
You are at the end of the hop now....since my parents named me "Wendy", I'm normally the end of the line... but if you want to start from the beginning --- you need to go to Jenny's Blog... where you can find all of the Design Team's creations using different lines of these fun products.
I'm also entering this page into the Paper Variety's 1-2-3 Challenge.  I used 1 Banner, 2 Brackets, and 3 Twine Bows on my Layout.  What a fun and simple challenge!!

Brave Scrapbook Page - 1st timer!

I'm a sketch challenge junkie when it comes to card making, but I don't think I've ever used one for a scrapbook layout.  Jinny is always using such fun sketches with her pages.  I decided to give one a try.  I used the Paper Variety Sketch.
Little Yellow Bicycle Twig Collection used again on this layout.  My son had his adenoids out, the pictures aren't that great, he does look so little in that huge hospital bed though!

We went and picked out our little girl when she was 4 weeks old (last May), she will be 1 next month.  I love the Yellow Bicycle Twig Line, I used bits and pieces from this and that on my page.  I ordered almost everything in the entire line - so I hope you don't mind seeing it often in the future!!  You have until Friday March 25th to play along.... you have 2 chances to win!!  Excited to see what Cute and Cuddly projects you make!

Wee Memories Challenge: United We Stamp

Wee Memories Challenge this week is: Free for all.  We are encouraging card makers to support Operation Write Home.    All of the details and information on how to donate cards can be found on the website.  There will also be a Stamp Set donated by Unity Stamp Co. for the lucky winner.

This was my 1st time using a Unity Stamp, and I must say I was impressed. I used the itty bitty set called "Adventurous". It contains a hot air balloon image and a saying.  The red cling rubber stamped perfectly and I was able to line up the saying perfectly for my "Adventure" strips.  I used the PTI cloud dies to accent all of my pretty hot air balloons.

Here is a close up shot of the cute hot air balloon stamp.  It was so easy to stamp it with a darker coordinating ink and use a few copic markers to shade the flowers.  Cut it out, add a little bit of ribbon, foam tape behind it makes it look like it's floating.  Perfect size to use on cards too.

PDCC68 & 1st Scrapbook Page of the year

Okay, I'm a card maker - I like the small size and the fact that it will most likely get tossed. Scrapbooking my family photos is more pressure.  I have a whole shelf full of patterned paper and scrapbooking kits that have been collecting dust for years. The Play Date Cafe Challenge is pink and cream/kraft.  My blogging buddies Jinny and Michele posted some pretty cards today.... I felt inspired to dig into this CTMH scrapbooking kit I've been hoarding.   I found this picture of my daughter, 7 months old... 6 1/2 years ago!  Simple embellishments, quick page, but I'm proud to say this is my 1st layout of the year, and not my last!

Scrapbook Pages - Simple, but DONE

I normally don't post many scrapbook pages, but I've been doing a lot lately. For 2010 I purchased the Becky Higgins project life. My family has really enjoyed the picture a day approach. This is going to be the way I scrapbook most of 2010. Any vacations, and big holidays will be scrapbooked the traditional way.
Mostly, I am posting these for my friend Paulina - she mentioned she would like to see some... so here you go Paulina.
