The Berry Wreath is probably more of a "garden" themed stamp than it is "western" but I thought it was a perfect accent for these cute little southwest & cowboy stamps. Who loves houndstooth? SO excited to have this stamp -- you "need" it too!!
Howdy! I used the Gingham Background stamp to create the red pattern and black/white washi tape next to the Howdy! Sentiment. The Cowboy Chickie was stamped in the middle of a horseshoe frame I made. Simple, but this card would work for any occasion. I thought a little boy would love to get a card like this for a birthday... or just to say Howdy!
If you've been around in DeNami land for awhile, you've seen me use the ripped kraft paper look to make sand -- I thought it would be perfect to make a dirt scene with for the Cowboy Chickie. I stamped the Cactus Trio, Cowboy Chickie, Southwest Stamp Set, & Main Street Shops onto Cream cardstock and cut them all out. Colored with copics/tombow markers.
I saved my favorite for last. I love the background paper I stamped. I used the Berry Wreath to create the red circles and added the horseshoe & sheriffs badge from the Cowboy Stamp Set into the centers. The cowboy chickie is standing in front of the cactus trio saying Howdy to ya'all! I added the gingham background using Red Versafine onto the cream cardstock. 5/8 Red Grosgrain Ribbon breaks up the patterns and I added knots to the sides of the scalloped circle. Colored in using Tombow & Copic Markers.
