Laurie has a fun challenge for us on her blog. I chose to use a Thank-You card that I purchased from Michael's. I found a pack of 8 of these for $1. My sister loves yellow, so I bought them to give to her.
I used Stampin Up textured yellow paper that I received as a gift from a SU stampin buddy in CA. Thanks again friend! Embossed the DeNami Cherry Blossom Garland using versamark and white powder. Grey scrap mounted onto a white piece of cardstock with the contempo thank you stamp. It's Monday, and my MOJO is lagging, so my card looks almost exactly the same as the inspirational card.. No creativity needed on this one. Thanks again to Laurie for hosting this fun challenge, it inspired me to make a card this afternoon!

This card is so fab, Wendy! You have totally been ROCKING that Cherry Blossom Garland lately!

ReplyDeleteLove how you were inspired and made it yourself! I like yours much better Wendy! :>
ReplyDeleteLovely card!
ReplyDeleteWendy, your version has more of an Asian feel, which I LOVE! I'd much rather have a set of these than the Michaels ones! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the card. Isn't this a fun challenge? Hope I get the chance to play along.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect, Wendy! I so wanted to play along, but we just don't get out often enough for me to pick a card before the deadline. Would you believe that I cannot remember the last time I walked down a card aisle. Shocking... I know! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWow this is SUPER! You rocked the challenge...love your background!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Wendy!!! Wish I could have played along this time - what a great challenge!!!
