Product Spotlight: Tropical Drinks Set

Product Spotlight: Tropical Drinks Set
This sweet little set has been around for a few years, but I still love it!

I seem to use the Hello Friend sentiment quite often.  It just works for about any occasion!  I stamped the sentiment using Cherry Pink Impress Ink and then used a fine tip black pen to add a frame around the drinks.   Can you see the shine on the drinks?  It's Crystal Lacquer.  I ran the hot pink cardstock through the big shot with a swirl embossing folder to give it some texture.

Craft Dash Challenge #20

I can't believe Paulina is hosting her 20th Craft Dash!
Colors: Hot Pink, Tangerine, Gray
I completed this card is 8 minutes and 38 seconds.
I spent half of that time messing around with adhering the sequins.
Next time I will use crystal lacquer to attach them!

I stamped the chevron border at an angle using grey ink.  I stamped the medium solid and small solid hibiscus flowers onto white cardstock and cut around them quickly.  I used foam tape to pop them onto the card quick.  I stamped the sending you sunshine sentiment using grey.  This is my 1st time using sequins.  I've seen Paulina do some amazing things with them!  I'm hoping I will get the hang of it soon.
Sequins purchased from Avery Elle using my gift certificate I won previously - thanks to the Craft Dash & Paulina!

Challenge runs from Wednesday, June 19- June 29th.
Prize: $20 DeNami gift certificate

DeNami Product Spotlight: Starry Burst

Product Spotlight: Starry Burst
This stamp is 10% off - one week only!

When I see stars, I automatically think patriotic colors.  I wanted to change it up a bit and made shiny sparkly starry bursts.   I used silver ink with a kaleidoscope embossing powder.  It really picks up different colors as you turn the card from side to side.  I added the Congratulations sentiment onto lavender and stapled it on.  I added a big bow at the top using iridescent edged ribbon.

DeNami Patterned Paper Blog Hop

Hopefully you just hopped here from my friend Amy's Blog.  If not, you will want to start at the beginning of the hop so you don't miss anyone!

I totally over thought this month's theme - patterned paper.  I wanted to do something original, but I honestly just couldn't come up with anything! YIKES!
I used it in the traditional way as a background to the fun DeNami Hoppy Birthday Frogs.  I layered different strips of patterned paper onto my cardstock front.  I added a few DeNami buttons and twine.

Make sure you leave a comment on every blog for the chance to win a $20 DeNami gift certificate.

Dressing up Envelopes

I contributed a "Dressing Up Envelope" Photo Tutorial on the DeNami Blog today.  Here are two other ways to dress up your envelopes to match your cards.

I stamped the 3 line border stamp in grey and masked it off with a piece of paper.  I stamped the large solid bamboo leaf with lime ink on the edge.  I used the large bamboo leaf on the card.

The stamps I used on the card are large, so I stamped the smaller version of the flower on the envelope and added some small solid bamboo leaves.  The elegant oval frame works perfectly to frame the name/address.

DeNami Pin-spired

DeNami Pin-spired Post.
Check out the DeNami Blog for more ideas from the Design Team!

At 1st glance I was scared of this photo! All I saw was stripes and dots - and mostly primary colors. Yikes! Once I punched out the circles I had this card totally completed in under 10 minutes.  Just goes to show what you can accomplish once you are "Pin-Spired" by something!
I punched 12 cardstock circles and adhered them to a piece of white cardstock that I matted onto a red piece of cardstock.  I stamped the 3 line border onto the card base using versafine majestic blue ink.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment twice onto sky blue cardstock and used foam tape to give them some POP.  Perfect card for any aged boy or man. I think the primary colors are perfectly masculine!  Hope you've been Pin-spired today!
