Happy Birthday to Nami -- Blog Hop

A very special Birthday Blog Hop for an Amazing Lady!
Hope you have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY Nami!!
Hopefully you are arriving from Amy's Blog.  If not, start here.

NO pressure --- making a card for the talented woman that designs DeNami Stamps.  I used to get stressed out and fretted for hours over my cards. Majorly intimidated to even show Nami or Paulina my work.  Thankfully I'm a little bit more confident now.
I wanted to give Nami a sparkly, bright, cupcake card to wish her a Happy Birthday.  The Cupcake Tower stamp is perfect for the occasion.  I stamped it in black inside of the Cherry Pink Impress scallop oval.  The mini cupcake stamp and mini polka dot stamp go together to make a quick strip of patterned paper. I finished it off with some LIME Grosgrain ribbon.
The next stop on the hop is STACY.

10 minute craft dash challenge #2

SO excited to get a chance to participate in Paulina and Ginny's Challenge.
10 minute craft dash. I was SO scared! I totally cheated. I found a card in a stampin up catalog I liked, and recreated it.  Page 84 of the 2011/12 catalog.  I wasted tons of time searching for the correct colored markers, next time I will set a few coordinating colors out before I start the timer!
My time was 8 minutes and 32 seconds.

I used 3 DeNami stamps. Onesie, Congrats, and Decorative Borders.  Stamped in Black and PTI aqua mist.  I layered the white cardstock onto PTI aqua mist, distressed dots, and olive cardstock. I was in such a hurry I pulled the twine out, didn't bother to find an end, and cut from the middle. SO not like me!  I'm off to clean up my messy desk now! I didn't put things away as I created.  I'm looking forward to the next challenge!

DeNami Addict Challenge #5 & Retro Sketches #28

DeNami Addict Challenge #5.  This challenge is open until October 13th!!

I combined the Retro Sketch Challenge with the DeNami Addict Colors.  I love that so much of the decision making was done for me.  It made this one quick card!
I embossed the Mimi Image with white embossing powder onto charcoal cardstock.  Layered onto white, black and magenta cardstock. Finished off with a pretty 5/8 hot pink ribbon.    I had this fun zebra patterned paper left over from my daughters 8th birthday party invites.

DeNami Product Spotlight: Fuzzy Ball

DeNami Product Spotlight: Fuzzy Ball.

My 10 year old was nearby when I was stamping the fuzzy ball image.  He gets total credit for the pigtail idea.  Since I gave the fuzzy ball pigtails, I went with a girl color scheme.  Magenta, Amethyst, and Turquoise. I stamped the fuzzy ball in black ink onto white cardstock.  Then I went back with the Grass stamp and made pig tails.  The grass stamp is actually out of an Easter Set.  I added Cherry Pink Impress Polka Dots using the mini polka dot stamp.  Happy Birthday was also stamped in Cherry Pink Impress onto Lavender cardstock.    I added a large purple button and some twine.

DeNami September Blog Hop: Back To School

Welcome to the September DeNami Blog Hop.  BACK TO SCHOOL!
You should be arriving from Ginny's Blog.  If not, start by going to the DeNami Blog.

These little notes are "Back to School" since they are perfect to stick in my kids lunch.  They love getting surprised when I stick a quick little note in the lunch box for them to find when they are at school.  I used the Papertrey Ink Lunchbox Note Die to create the little folders.  I used Spellbinders Dies to make white circles and colored layers behind.  I looked through my DeNami collection and chose little stamps that would fit into the circles well.  The top row are for my daughter, and the bottom row are for my son.
Your next stop on the hop is to visit Ruza's Blog.

Stamps Used from upper left towards bottom:  Open Ladybug, Steam Curl, Cheerleader Chickie, Love You, Teeny Heart, Cloud, Airplane Chickie, Helicopter, Turtle.
Cardstock: White, Red, Amethyst, Turquoise.
Misc: Lunchbox Note Die, Markers.

DeNami Theme Challenge: Anything Goes!

DeNami Theme Challenge: Anything Goes Challenge!
Anyone that own's a DeNami stamp can participate in this challenge!
You have the chance to win a $20 DeNami Gift Certificate.

I love all of the older Mimi Images, and feel like I've neglected them for too long.  So I decided to ink up Mimi's Bubble Bath. Mostly because I absolutely love making sparkly bubbles, and partially since I wasn't in the mood to color some of the more intricate Mimi stamps.  I used crystal lacquer covered in extra fine glitter to make raised up glittery bubbles. I used a few markers to add some color, layered cardstock, done!
