CAS-ual Friday #29

CAS-ual Friday Challenge #29.  Such a fun and versatile sketch -- I couldn't wait to play along.  I have neglected this little fuzzy ball stamp from DeNami - so I grabbed it and made a playful Birthday card for a special little boy.  There are tons of little faces you can make with this one fuzzy ball.  I chose the Friendly Faces Set for this card.

CPS Sketch & Young Crafters Unite

I struggle with manly cards ---  I want to add glitter, ribbon, and rhinestones!!
This card was made using the CPS Sketch and the Masculine Theme for the Young Crafters Unite Challenge #3. I missed the cutoff for this challenge :-(
I picked up this SU set at a yard sale this summer.... it's perfect for my brother in law.
My card turned out exactly like the sketch, which normally doesn't happen. Nice and simple, perfect for my deer loving brother in law.

DeNami Blog Hop: Anything but a card

Welcome to the November DeNami Blog Hop: Anything but a card.  I think this will be one of my favorite themes so far.... I can't wait to see what everyone else made along the hop.  Make sure you leave a comment on every blog, you have a chance to win a DeNami Gift Certificate!!

You should be arriving from Emily's Blog, if not you can start at the beginning of the hop by visiting the DeNami Blog.
I had so much fun using the large mitten a few weeks ago, I couldn't wait to try out the stocking!
Basic Directions:  I embossed 6 stockings using versarmark & white embossing powder.  I cut out all of them and did some basic stamping to add some pattern to them.  Large Circles & Scalloped Circles thanks to my spellbinders dies and added some texture using a new SU embossing folder. I added a bow, ribbon, and button and strung them all together.  Easy, perfect decoration for anywhere in your home.  I made a few extra of these... they will be perfect gift tags for presents or gift bags.
Your next stop along the hop is to visit one of DeNami's biggest fans ----TINA !  Guaranteed to show you something fun and fabulous!
Supplies: Stamps 3 line border, polka dot background, stocking
Cardstock: Lime, Chocolate, Red, Kraft
Misc: Versamark, Versafine Red, White embossing powder, white button, twinery twine, su ef, Red Polka dot ribbon, Spellbinder Dies.

CAS-ual Fridays: Over the Edge CFC #27

CAS-ual Fridays challenge ends in 7 hours... I finally had a chance to whip something up for it this morning.  I don't normally have pieces hang off the edge of my cards, so this was a challenge!  I need a few more thanksgiving cards, so I grabbed 3 DeNami stamps and added some leaves to meet the hanging off requirement.  Today is Friday for us here in Vegas, my kids get a 4 day weekend.  November is full of lots of days off!
Stamps: Happy Thanksgiving, Wheat Stalk, Pumpkin.

Product Spotlight: Large Mitten

Don't you just love the DeNami Product Spotlights? Such a fun way to see multiple ways to use 1 stamp. Grab this large mitten now, it's 10% off for 1 week!  Make sure you visit the DeNami Blog and see the other creations made by the Design Team.

Since the mitten is large, I chose to use it to decorate a bag for Christmas.  I embossed the mitten using Versamark and white embossing powder, & added a few snowflakes for interest. I used my handy ATG tape to adhere the cotton balls onto the mittens, they are so fuzzy and soft in real life.  My 7 year old actually put the cotton on, she wanted it to be really puffy.  A simple string of bakers twine holds the mittens onto the bag.
Stamps: Large Mitten, Snowflakes, Holly, Dots
Ink: Versamark
Misc: White embossing powder, bakers twine, gift bag, tissue paper.

DeNami Sketch Challenge #10

Amber has created a unique sketch for you to try out!  Head on over to the DeNami Blog to see all of the DT cards for some great inspiration.

I flipped the sketch on the side.  I wanted to use the new coral ribbon that DeNami is carrying now, so that is where I started.  I stamped my patterned background using 2 stamps and added a bit of color with my copics.  Stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment and I was done. Easy and thoughtful, just the way I like to make cards!  Please join us in this fun Sketch Challenge.  You have until Nov. 28th to enter --- and a chance to win a $20 DeNami Gift Certificate.

Stamps: Ornamental Vine, Ornamental Flowers Set, Happy Birthday, Scalloped Rectangle
Ribbon: Coral 5/8 Grosgrain
Cardstock: Cream, Kraft
Misc: Vintage Sepia Ink, Copic Markers.
