OTWC #47 DeNami Floral

Kim doesn't like purple?!? I was shocked to read this about her :-)  I love purple, so I was so excited to see the colors at Off The Wall Craftiness this week.   DeNami has this fabulous new Purple Grosgrain ribbon and lavender paper, I added it to the pretty amethyst cardstock.  Such a pretty combination, which I've used a lot lately.  Can't go wrong with glittery lavender colored flowers either!! Stamps used:  Elegant Floral Circle, elegant floral blossom, and elegant floral leaf.  SU embossing folder, tombow markers.

Wee Memories Challenge: United We Stamp

Wee Memories Challenge this week is: Free for all.  We are encouraging card makers to support Operation Write Home.    All of the details and information on how to donate cards can be found on the website.  There will also be a Stamp Set donated by Unity Stamp Co. for the lucky winner.

This was my 1st time using a Unity Stamp, and I must say I was impressed. I used the itty bitty set called "Adventurous". It contains a hot air balloon image and a saying.  The red cling rubber stamped perfectly and I was able to line up the saying perfectly for my "Adventure" strips.  I used the PTI cloud dies to accent all of my pretty hot air balloons.

Here is a close up shot of the cute hot air balloon stamp.  It was so easy to stamp it with a darker coordinating ink and use a few copic markers to shade the flowers.  Cut it out, add a little bit of ribbon, foam tape behind it makes it look like it's floating.  Perfect size to use on cards too.

WPlus9 Color Cue Challenge #12

I love Dawn's Color Cue Challenges, look at the colors! Fabulous! I really wanted to use the pretty peacock image, so I made her the center of attention on my card.  When I look at the card now, it seems to be almost too clean and simple, but I didn't want to mess it up! I used Magical Moments stamp set from WPlus9.

CR84FN Color Challenge #16

CR84FN Color Challenge is so pretty this week, I'm so glad I had a chance to play along.  Even though I'm too late to submit it, bummer! I was lucky enough to be drawn as the winner last week, so I have a pretty stamp set and paper coming my way! Yippee!

I am out of light grey paper, so I went with the PTI darker grey I have.  This card is for my mom, she doesn't read my blog... so I can tell you.  These colors are perfect for her. I found this gorgeous textured lavender paper - I'm so proud I finally cut into it!!  The rosette ribbon is white, but I added a pink strip of cardstock behind it to brighten it up a bit.  Happy Friday!!

Play Date Cafe and Curtain Call 70

Crazy timing for these two color challenges to be the same, even the same #.  This card is for Play Date Cafe Challenge #70 and Curtain Call Act 70.
I just received a box of PTI goodies, so I couldn't wait to use some of my new dies. I also used a sentiment and banner stamp from Delightful Doilies set.  Another pretty crocheted flower adds the perfect amount of texture with a PTI button and Twinery Twine to top it off.

DeNami Product Spotlight - Lucky Irish Set

Product Challenge at the DeNami Blog - Lucky Irish Stamp Set.  You must visit the DeNami Blog so you can see the other creations by the Design Team

.  I'm in charge of making teacher appreciation gifts for March... this is it... times 62.  Golden Hershey Nuggets are the perfect candy to use, they look like lucky golden nuggets you might find at the end of the rainbow.

I used Versacolor Lime and Versacolor Fresh Green Ink to add some color to the mailing labels that I wrapped around each chocolate.  8 in each box. The boxes are from DeNami. I used the small size.  I tied around some pretty green & lime ribbon and a bit of Twinery Twine.  I punched out some small circles and added it to two, but I think I'll skip that step on the additional 60 I need to make. Perfect project for the kids to help with... quick, simple, cute.  Perfect for any occasion!!

DeNami Color Challenge #6 - Lisa

DeNami Color Challenge by Lisa.
Lisa chose some fun colors for the color challenge - Lime -Navy -White. I think the navy and white just spoke "nautical" to me, so I grabbed the nautical stamp set and made a masculine card.  Masculine cards are always harder for me, I still sneaked some rhinestones on it, whoops.
3 colors --- endless possibilities --- show us what you got!  Link your project to the DeNami Blog.

Cardstock: Lime, Navy, White
Misc: Rhinestones, Navy 5/8 ribbon, white embossing powder, heat gun, pti die, SU corner ticket punch.

Wee Memories Challenge: Source of Inspiration

Wee Memories Challenge
this week is to use a Papercraft Magazine for Inspiration.
Oh My Crafts is the sponsor this week.
The winner will receive a $15 Gift Certificate

My project was Inspired by a heart Doily card.  I found this huge doily on clearance at Walmart after Valentines Day, I think I got a pack of 10 for .87.   I thought the scalloped edge was in need of a pretty pink button treatment, so that is where I started.  Then, I literally just started pulling this and that and layering.  I found all of these elements and scraps on my desk. Yep, it's messy again!  This scrapbook page is crazy busy, not normally what I would make. I have a picture of my hubby and I scrapbooked, so I'm happy.  We rarely get our photo taken, just the two of us.  Normally we are lucky enough to have a kid or two squished in also.  So, grab a magazine or an idea book, get inspired, and link up your project to share with us at Wee Memories this week!

OTWC #46 & Get Sketchy #75

This card uses the colors from Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #46 and layout from Get Sketchy #75.  Day two of sick kids and sick mom at my house. With a pounding head I've felt unproductive and HAD to make something cheerful and bright today.  I was happy to see the colors for OTWC were perfect, and Get Sketchy had an easy sketch to work with.  I even whipped out my sewing machine for this one.  I need to leave it out so I use it more often.  Do I need to back stitch on paper?  It's not like it's going to get washed or anything.  Just curious as to what the "right" thing to do with paper is.  This quite possibly be the 1st time I've used a doily on a card too.... amazing, I know!  I used the pretty DeNami Decorative Crest Circle for my focal point, and blinged it up with some pretty rhinestones and a saying from PTI.  Hope you all have a great weekend, it's a 3 day weekend for the kids.  We are off to Palm Springs in the morning, as long as we can are all semi-healthy.

Papertrey Make It Mondays & CR84FN Color Challenge

Andrea always makes gorgeous cards, but I was really taken by the one's she made for the CR84FN Color Challenge #15 this week. She has been crocheting the prettiest flowers.  I can't crochet, but I just happened to have this pretty teal flower that coordinated with the colors this week.  I embossed the polka dot background from PTI with Versamark and clear embossing powder.  I layered some DeNami buttons for the center of the flower and hand cut the leaves from some grosgrain ribbon that matched perfectly.
I used a strip of vellum for my PTI sentiment, thanks for the inspiration Papertrey Ink -- the new Make It Monday video's are so fun!

DeNami Beautiful BUTTONS blog hop

Welcome to the DeNami Beautiful Buttons Blog Hop.  You should be arriving from Andrea's blog, if not you can start from the beginning of the hop at the DeNami Blog.
This theme was so easy, since I love to use buttons.  I wanted to do something super creative, but failed at numerous attempts....so I took the easy way out and added some buttons to the centers of the DeNami Daisy Stamp.  Not too original by any means, but this is one of my favorite ways to use buttons.  I even tried to not use purple on this card, but somehow it happened, I seem to be in a purple rut!
Your next stop on the hop is Michele at Studio MSG.... my fellow DeNami DT Girl.  Make sure to leave Michele an awesome comment, she is one of the sweetest commenters out in blog land.   Actually, leave a comment on every blog along the hop --- you have the chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to DeNami Designs!!!
Supplies:
Stamps: Polka Dot Background, Large Daisy

Cardstock: Lavender, Celery, Charcoal.
Ink: Versafine Smokey Grey
Misc: 5/8 Amethyst Ribbon, Buttons, Twinery Twine, copic marker

Wee Memories: Live-Laugh-Love Challenge

I love the theme this week at Wee Memories.  Live-Laugh-Love.  I knew instantly what project I wanted to do for the challenge.  Anyone else have these cute little $1 Target Mail boxes from a few years back?  Everyone was decorating them for Valentines, but I never wanted to use mine for such a limited holiday. SO, I decided I would decorate it in a fun bright colors that I could look at year round.

Inside of the mailbox are some quick & simple notes using Papertrey Ink's lunchbox note die. I used the PTI circle dies to make some fancy circles, stamped a few simple images, colored in, and done.  The idea is that they are SIMPLE.  I added notes like these last week to my childrens lunch boxes, they LOVED it.  I'm hoping to encourage my husband and kids to use these to write I Love You, Thank-You, Good-Luck, or Just Because Notes to one another...maybe I'll even get one!
This is where my little mailbox will be kept, on a bookcase that everyone has access to in the family room.
I'm excited to see what other's will do with this theme, hoping to inspire you to spread some LOVE and LAUGHTER!
Penny Black is the Sponsor this Week.  There will be 2 lucky winners -- clear & wood stamps up for grabs.

PDCC68 & 1st Scrapbook Page of the year

Okay, I'm a card maker - I like the small size and the fact that it will most likely get tossed. Scrapbooking my family photos is more pressure.  I have a whole shelf full of patterned paper and scrapbooking kits that have been collecting dust for years. The Play Date Cafe Challenge is pink and cream/kraft.  My blogging buddies Jinny and Michele posted some pretty cards today.... I felt inspired to dig into this CTMH scrapbooking kit I've been hoarding.   I found this picture of my daughter, 7 months old... 6 1/2 years ago!  Simple embellishments, quick page, but I'm proud to say this is my 1st layout of the year, and not my last!

OTWC #44

This card was made for the Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #44. Red - White - Pink.... total Valentines Colors. I picked up these pretty stick pins at Stampers Corner in Elk Grove, CA when I worked on Saturday.  I had to use them with this color combo.  I used a small hole punch to punch holes in the scalloped circle.  I used my DeNami heart background stamp and the heart trio circle

DeNami Product Challenge -TWINE

Twine is everywhere these days! Including the DeNami Blog.  The Design Team has came up with some fabulous creations - go check it out!  I think twine and kitties go well together.  The 1st card I made I just added some to the button and around the stamped panel.  Then I thought... that would make a great ball of yarn..............

Luckily DeNami has a cute little set that includes a ball of yarn. I stamped it in black, and made it sticky with my ATG tape, and just started circling the twine around.  Perfect ball of yarn.  I'm still needing more Valentine's Day cards, so I stuck with white and red on this card.
Grab some twine and play along -- you have a chance to win a sample of 11 TWINERY colors!
Thanks to The Twinery for sponsoring the challenge this week!

Cardstock: Petal Pink, Kraft, White, Red
Ink: Versafine Red, Black, Sepia, and SU Pink
Misc: Tombow Markers, Pink DeNami Button, Marashino Twine from the Twinery (Red), Brown twine, Border Punch, Scalloped Oval and Oval Punch.

Dust Off Those Scraps --- Wee Memories Challenge & Hop

It's my 1st post as a Design Team member with Wee Memories!   It's also a Blog Hop, so hopefully you are arriving from  Stephanie's blog.   If you are only just joining us, please stop by Jenny's blog to start from the beginning.

The challenge this week is to use your scraps!  So easy for me, since I save almost every little scrap.  My 1st idea was to make magnets using these decorative floral marbles.  You just use a circle punch to make paper circles and use Crystal Lacquer to adhere the marble and the paper together.  I thought this Tic Tac Toe Tin would be more fun though.  My 6 and 8 year old love to play tic-tac-toe, so I made blue for my son, and pink for my daughter.  This tin used to hold flowers, now it has a fun purpose.  I layed out scraps on the inside of the tin and used the 3/8 robins egg ribbon to cover up the seems.

I added some more gorgeous ribbon around the outside of the tin using my ATG gun.  A cute little bow adds the finishing touch.   Thanks for stopping by my blog -   Your next stop along the hop is AnitaBe sure to add your project using scraps to the Wee Memories Blog for a chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate to Michelle's Scraps.  You have until Friday Feb. 11th to play along.

Happy Birthday Soccer Star

My kids attended a birthday party last week for a friend.  He loves to play soccer, and obviously his name is Hayden - so this was perfectly personalized just for him.  Do you know that DeNami has a super cute set of Ball Stamps?
Soccer, Baseball/Tennis, Football and Basketball - Sports Ball Stamp Set.
Super quick and simple, because you know he kept the cash and tossed the card. :-)
