CR84FN Color Challenge #12

Paulina made a pretty card using this rosevine heart stamp, I had forgotten about that heart stamp until today.  I thought it would be perfect  to use with CR84FN Color Challenge #12.   I actually think I'll stamp a Valentines Day sentiment on the inside and give this card to my mom.  I like the non-traditional colors and I think she'll love that pink bow.  In case you need directions on how to make the fancy bow - check out the video that Paulina made.

A few of my Favorite Things.....

Today DeNami is sharing a few of my favorite crafty things. I also shared a few easy storage ideas - visit the DeNami Blog for more pictures.  ATG Tape Gun, Quickie Glue Pen, Glitter, Chocolate Glitter Ribbon and the polka dot background stamp.  This card uses all of my favorite things... plus 2 stamps. I added the Happy Valentines Day sentiment and heart chickie.  Quick little Valentine's Day wish - this will be sent to my 1 year old nephew.  I added texture using a SU embossing folder, otherwise everything is from DeNami.  Happy Friday!!!

Rehearsal Dinner Invitation

I made 50 of these.  They are wedding rehearsal dinner invitations for a couple that is getting married in San Diego in a few months.  The grooms mother took this candid shot of them just for fun- this is the spot where they will officially say I-do.  I did photoshop the yellow grass out in the 50 I made for them, this was my sample.  Don't you love this Tiffany Blue color?  I used Stampin Up Tempting Turquoise and DeNami Polka Dot Ribbon.  Don't look for the ribbon at DeNami, I bought the last of it, sorry!  I bought these cute silver shell charms on eBay for a few dollars for 100 of them...what a steal!  PTI stamp and some stickles really made the invite sparkle. You obviously remove the black/white cardstock to reveal the invite details.

This is my friend Lizzy.  SHE IS SHAVING HER HEAD IN MARCH!  She is showing her support for her 6 year old son that is fighting cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.  Her goal is $5,000 -- but I think she should raise a lot more with all of that pretty hair.  The money goes to Children's Cancer Research and all of the info can be found here---- St. Baldricks.  You just need to give your basic info, and credit card, super easy!! Every little bit adds up - Thanks in advance if you are able to help out.

Sweetheart Mimi

The DeNami Design Team is featuring the Sweetheart Mimi stamp on the DeNami Blog.  I have used her for Valentines Day lately, but I wanted to show you how versatile she is.  This card could easily be used as a Thinking of you, Birthday, Mothers Day, etc.   I used the new Celery Cardstock along with the Purple Ribbon and Amethyst Cardstock.  Such a fun combination, and it worked perfectly with the hearts and leaves I colored.  Make sure you check out the DeNami Blog for more inspiration!
Supplies:
Stamps: Polka Dot Background, Sweetheart Mimi
Cardstock: Cream, Celery, Lavender, Amethyst, Charcoal
Ink: Versafine Black, Versamark
Misc: 5/8 Purple Grosgrain Ribbon, Purple Rhinestones, Embossing Folder, Tombow Markers, Quickie Glue Pen, Extra fine glitter.

2 cards for Card Patterns 99

My 8 year old is home sick today, so I didn't get to go to the gym today, I had all sorts of time to play in my craft room.  He just felt like watching movies and playing on the computer.  Oh, and in case you are curious -my table is STILL clean.  I've been really good about putting things away. Not sure how long this will last, but for now it feels good!
Laurie inspired me to participate in the Card Patterns 99 Sketch.  I liked that it was an easy sketch, I have a long list of Valentines to make for people.  My mom bought me a Stampin Up set called Friends Fur-ever.  Honestly, no one has bought me stamps in YEARS.  So it was a fun surprise to have this set arrive in the mail.  We have neighbors that have a scotty dog, so you know who is getting that card.  Nothing fancy on either one, but I'm happy to say my list is 2 cards shorter now.

Before & After

Before Cleaning

After Cleaning :-)

Happy Friday!  Yesterday I procrastinated, but today I conquered the messy table. I thought it would be fun to show you a  before & after photo.  I threw away, put away, and intend to give stuff away.  I have a big pile of stuff that needs to go on eBay.  Like my huge collection of eyelets I haven't touched in YEARS.  Hope you all have a great weekend!

Orange isn't just for Halloween!

I should be cleaning off my messy desk, but I just had to make a card using these fun colors. White - Turquoise - Orange are the colors for Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #42.  The messy desk will wait for me.
DeNami Daisy embossed with white embossing powder, The Twinery twine, and some white DeNami buttons. Easy.  I must admit I think of orange as a Halloween color, but this card shows it has potential.

DeNami Pansies for OTWC #41

OTWC has a fun color combo: Purple -Lime -Black.  I instantly thought of lilacs.  Luckily DeNami has a few pansy stamps, so I was able to create my own patterned paper and colored it with the OTWC colors.  I used the pretty whimsical frame to give my sentiment somewhere to go.

I had these little pillow boxes sitting on my desk, so I thought this would be a fun way to dress it up.  The one I used was already printed onto white cardstock.  You could easily use the downloaded version and print it onto any color.  So fun!

Valentine for Wee Memories Ribbon Challenge

I love ribbon, who doesn't..... right?  This is the 2nd card that I made for the Wee Memories Ribbon Challenge and also for the CR84FN Color Challenge. Red-Kraft-Brown, screams Valentines to me right now, so I went with it.
DeNami puppy love stamp was the perfect image for this color combo and so easy to add a few strips of ribbon around.  I can't get enough of the teeny heart background either, and the little xoxo stamp is from the new love sentiments set.  Red and brown 5/8 ribbon also from DeNami.

Wee Memories Ribbon Rainbow

Wee Memories Challenge this week is "For the Love of Ribbon". I love ribbon so much, I made two cards today.  I kept it pretty simple here - i made the card front sticky with rows of ATG tape and layered misc. ribbon down in a rainbow. Trimmed the ends and added a Happy Birthday die cute and rhinestones on top.  Fun and simple. Another card for the stash. No school for my kids, so we are headed to an indoor trampoline and dodge ball place.  I sit and watch while they exhaust themselves.  I plan on typing 50 bows onto the wedding rehearsal invitations I'm making. Once I finish I'll show you the invite.

DeNami Sketch Challenge #6 - Laurie

Laurie has created a fun sketch for you to use at the DeNami Blog.  I found it really challenging for some reason, and ended up flipping it on the side.  Check out the other design team's creations to see it unflipped.
I used the new Sweetheart Mimi as my focal image and somehow came up with this lime/pink/red color combo.  NOT what I would normally do. I Love lime, but not normally with pink and red.  Hopefully you think I pulled it off, I'm still wondering!

$20 Gift Certificate goes to the sketch challenge winner --- so put this on your to do list for sure!!

DeNami Supplies:
Stamps: Sweetheart Mimi, Heart Background
Cardstock: Red, Lime, Petal Pink
Ink: Versafine Red and Black.

Fluorescent Birthday

I Loved the Tuesday Trigger Photo this week, and knew I wanted to try to participate.  Once I saw the colors for the Colour Q Challenge, I knew they were meant to go together.  My middle school neighbor girl comes over once a month for a birthday card for friends.  I made this card to add to my stash to be ready for her.

Papertrey Dot Spot was the perfect set to re-create the fun hanging garland in the Trigger photo.  I added some stickles to the center of each dot.  DeNami Lime Grosgrain Ribbon.  Papertrey Ink Fillable Frames #4 and Birthday saying from Birthday Bash sentiment set.  My PTI stamps have been neglected, so I plan to give them a little attention this week.

Oh, and a HUGE thanks to Paulina for teaching me how to lighten up my photo's using photoshop.  I still have a long way to go, but I feel like my photos are looking a bit brighter lately.

CR84FN Color Challenge

100% Inspired today by my fellow DeNami Design Team girls!  They had some fabulous cards using the cute elephant.  I love how Andrea made an elephant train and her polka dot elephant was SO cute.  So, the card I made for the CR84FN Color Challenge is thanks to Andrea! The colors just spoke "baby" to me, so I added the Congratulations Sentiment.  Trying to be more productive in my crafting and scrapbooking this year.  I'm off to an okay start with cards. Zero scrapbooking.  I purchased the new Becky Higgins Project Life Kit for 2011, even though I only got through February last year.  I have some catching up to do.  1st step is to print out some pictures, they are ALL on my computer.
DeNami Stamps: Elephant and Congratulations

Valentine for OTWC, Wee Memories

I haven't felt very creative lately, but I finally felt inspired by these two challenges.  Wee Memories Challenge is to use twine, and I used the OTWC colors: Burgundy - White - Kraft.  I love it when 1/2 the work is decided before I even start.  I loved how Ayana layered the hearts on this card.  So I used that idea for my hanging hearts.

Ink: Versamark, Versafine Crimson Red, SU Creamy Caramel.
Stamps: Happy Valentines Day, Heart Border, teeny heart background, Love sentiments, small heart outline.
Cardstock: Kraft, White, Burgundy - all DeNami.
Misc: Border Punch, Twine, Score Pal.

DeNami Elephant

The DeNami Design Team is Spotlighting this Cute Elephant on the DeNami Blog Today.  Head over and check out my fellow DT girls creations... such a fun variety!

I love how easy it is to stamp and cut out the elephant. NO coloring needed. I used the Mesh Cuttlebug Embossing Folder to give her some extra texture.  She is so in love she is tooting out hearts from her trunk.  How amazing is the new teeny heart background?  Turns ordinary white cardstock into pretty patterned paper.  I snuck a sweet little sentiment on the front and accented it with a little tiny red rhinestone.
This card could easily be changed into a birthday card, or even a baby shower card.... just change up the color.
Valentines Day is less than a month away!  Do you make Valentines Cards?  I try to send cards to my immediate family, but my goal is to send out more this year.   It's amazing how good it feel's to get a hand made card in the mail.  I was so happy to find a Thank-You card from Paulina in my mail yesterday.  It is sitting on my window sill in my kitchen... so I smile often.   I think sometimes I get so caught up in the making of cards, I slack on actually sending them out.

Stamps: Teeny Heart Background, Elephant, Teeny Heart, Mini Heart. Love Stamp Set.
Cardstock: White, Red, Petal Pink
Ink: Versafine Black and Satin Red
Misc: Red Rhinestone, 5/8 Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Scalloped Circle Punch, Circle Punch, Mesh Embossing Folder, Pink Marker.

Cardstock: DeNami Sky Blue, Tangerine, Lime, PTI White, Basic Grey Patterned Paper.

DeNami Simply Scallops Blog Hop

Welcome to the January DeNami Blog Hop -- Simply Scallops.  Such a fun and diverse theme, I can't wait to see what other participants make.  I'm sandwiched right in between two of my fellow DeNami DT members... so hopefully you've just came from Ayana's Blog and if not, you can start from the beginning at the DeNami Blog.

Your next stop is to visit Michele at Studio MSG.  Make sure to leave comments on every blog... you have a chance to win a $20 DeNami Gift Certificate.

I made a bunch of cards in December, and this fun scalloped button border was left on my table.  I thought it was a perfect start to my scalloped themed card.  The Whimsical Oval Frame  is a perfect fit around the turtle with presents stamp. Amethyst cardstock was stamped with the medium polka dot stamp using Versamark.  I used the double embossed border punch to create the scalloped border and added DeNami buttons.

Stamps: Whimsical Oval Frame, Medium Polka Dots, Turtle with presents.
Cardstock: Amethyst, White, Lime.
Ink: Versafine Imperial Purple, Versamark, Versafine Black.
Misc: Double Embossed Border Punch, Tombo Markers, Scalloped Oval Punch, DeNami Buttons.

The Twinery Winner Announced!

Kim from Lewiston, Idaho is the lucky winner of my Twinery giveaway.
I can't do a post without a picture, so here is one from last week.  My puppy is 8 1/2 months old now.  She loved the snow in Washington. She looks all grown up now doesn't she? Amazing how fast she grew, 70 lbs now.

Rainbows & Clouds

When I received my box of DeNami stamps, this is the 1st card I made. Perfect to send someone some sunshine. Since I live in Vegas, I normally have extra to share.  I really wanted the rainbow to shine.... glue pad and some gorgeous DeNami glitter did the job.  I also made the clouds fluffy using crystal lacquer and fun fluff.

How cute is the chickie riding in the hot air balloon? So much braver than me, I'd NEVER do that!!!  The helicopter and blimp are also flying high in the clouds today.  I had a lot of fun coloring them and adding glitter.  I love the ripped paper look for sand, and snow, and now grass.... so easy!

Sending You Sunshine Card:
Cardstock: Kraft and White

Flying High Card:
Cardstock: White, Lime, and Sky Blue
Misc: Quickie Glue Pen, Extra Fine Glitter, Tombow Markers, Foam Tape
