Get Sketchy #52 & Wee Memories #19

3rd Challenge card of the afternoon --- see how productive I can be when my kids are away!  This one is for Get Sketchy #52 - card sketch and Wee Memories #19 -something sweet & with ribbon.  I flipped the Get Sketchy sketch on the side.  I just couldn't find the right stamp to "hang" - so I improvised.  I used one of my favorite DeNami stamps - the ice cream cone.  Basic Grey Patterned Paper... Yellow Ribbon from a yard sale.  Fun, Simple, and perfect for a birthday wish!

Color Cue Challenge and EBTKS #21

Lots of 1sts on this card - 1st time participating in the EBTKS Challenge, 1st time using wrinkle ribbon, 1st time using my new W Plus 9 Stamp sets - Magical Moments and Backgrounds II, and the 1st time trying this color combo.
W Plus 9 Color Cue Challenge was to use these colors: Aqua-Gold-Red-Cream/White.
The Everything But the Kitchen Sink Sketch was based off of a washing machine - love it!!
So, the card didn't turn out as I had pictured in my mind.... but I don't have the time to pull it apart.  LOVE my new stamps though --- just need to try them with different colors.  Somehow I managed to use a much darker shade of blue than Dawn's Color Swatch.  I think a more aqua shade would be better.  I might try it again later.

Laura's Sketch for 2 Sketches 4 You

I haven't had much time to create lately - so I have a pile of newly neglected goodies to play with.  I wanted to use my new PTI sets - Embellishments & Birthday Bash Sentiments along with the new Mat Stack 4 Die Cut.  I used Laura's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You my my layout. I flipped the sketch to the side.   I found this fun ribbon lace border at a yard sale a few months ago, such a fun find... and I actually used it instead of collecting! Basic Grey Patterned Paper & PTI Cardstock & Ribbon. Card measures 5 1/2 by 5 1/2.

DeNami Featured Product - Apple Basket

It's time for the DeNami Featured Product -- the Apple Basket stamp! Such a great all occasion stamp... birthday, for my teacher, thanks, and more!  I love adding just a touch of crystal lacquer, makes nice shiny apples.  I also tried to make my kraft cardstock look basket textured by using my score-pal to add score lines like the basket.  Didn't show up well in my picture, but I think it adds just enough texture.
Supplies:
Stamps: Apple Basket and Apples & Pears Stamp Set
Cardstock: Red, Cream, Kraft, Chocolate Satin
Ink: Versafine Sepia & Versafine Crimson Red
Misc: Emerald Grosgrain Ribbon 5/8, Score Pal, Crystal Lacquer, Tombow Markers, Border Punch

Welcome to DeNami's 1st Blog Hop!!  The Theme is POLKA DOTS.  How fun!   I love this little turtle, perfect for a little boy's birthday.  He fits perfect in the dot circle.   I made my fun bright colored patterned paper using the polka dot border.  I had to clean my stamp a lot- but it was worth the rainbow of colors. Papertrey Paper Dolls & Get Sketchy #51

This card uses the Get Sketchy Sketch #51.  This card fell together in minutes since I had a great sketch & color idea too. Inspiration was from a card that Dawn made and is the challenge at the Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #17.  I didn't have anything from the July release, so I used something I bought and hadn't used yet.  The Color Couture Vol. 4-6 from a few months back.

2 Sketches 4 You #58 - DeNami Lilacs

I've been traveling and haven't had a chance to do a sketch challenge in awhile.  I was excited to see Laura's Sketch 58 today.  Seemed simple enough, so I dove right in.  I love the new amethyst cardstock that DeNami is carrying now - and I found some purple pom-poms that matched perfectly.  I had an awful time getting the pop poms to look purple in my photo though - I honestly took almost 20 photos to get it this good, so frustrating.  Anyway -the gorgeous DeNami lilac stamp looks great.  Colored in with my copic markers, layered onto some older Memory Box paper I had laying around... and the PTI ribbon was a perfect way to add another layer of texture.

WPlus9 Color Cue Challenge #6

Dawn picked fabulous colors - too bad I somehow managed to pick a pinker tone.  Oh well, we'll blame it on my blonde hair, or my photography skills.   I used the Woodgrain Silhouettes and Additions stamp sets to make my card.  These sets work fabulously together... love how versatile they are!  I felt like embossing so I embossed all of my images using Versafine Sepia Ink.  Yep, if you are fast - it will work.  I actually cut everything out too - not something I normally do.  I had to add some bling to the butterflies so I used DeNami Strawberry Freeze glitter.  I tried to find a "kraft" color ink in my stash - the closest I could find was PTI Chamomile.  Anyone have one that is a closer match?  I made a few Halloween cards this morning - I was VERY rusty!  I haven't made a card in almost a month!

DeNami GLITTER Challenge

The DeNami Product Challenge is a fun one today!  DeNami and Glitter go hand in hand, so what a perfect challenge!  You can add glitter in so many ways... and DeNami carries so many GORGEOUS colors - it's hard to chose just one.  I love the new amethyst cardstock color and wanted to use the purple glitter as an accent.   I used the Glue Pad with the elegant floral vine stamp onto the silver cardstock, sprinkled with purple glitter.   The elegant floral arch was stamped with the glue pad and topped off with silver glitter.  Pretty purple rhinestone in the center of the floral image.  I tried to re-create a "Paulina" bow using the silver edge white ribbon.  An all occasion card for anyone that loves a little bling.  I am SO excited to see what glittery creations blog readers will make.  $25 Gift Certificate to the chosen winner!!!!
